Nearly two summers ago I had the pleasure of working with this fabulous couple for their Amelia Island wedding.  Now I finally have the pictures to blog with and I am thrilled.  This was such a gorgeous and fun wedding.  Amelia Island really set the scene with its beautiful empty beaches, boutique hotels and shops, and unique restaurants, and of course the amazing golf it offers.

The bride wore an original Maggie Sottero gown, embroidered with colorful flowers.  She was escorted down the boardwalk to the beach, and along the sandy aisle lined with bamboo poles tied with lime and fuchsia ribbon that swayed in the breeze.  The bride and groom met under a bamboo chuppah adorned with ribbons, lilies, and suspended seashells and starfish.  She carried a gorgeous bouquet full of tropical blooms in medium pink, bright fuchsia, and bursts of lime and white.  The bridesmaids wore chocolate brown dresses to mirror the groomsmen espresso tuxedos, and the matron of honor sported a soft pink number.  The couple closed their ceremony with a sand ceremony, symbolic of their new union.  Despite taking place on an expansive beach, the ceremony was incredibly intimate and touching.

Then it was up the boardwalk to the reception at the resort.  Guest tables surrounded the deck of the pool and were adorned with pink textured table runners and alternating tropical floral arrangements and candle centerpieces.  A live Jazz band played while guests dined in the open air, and when it came time for dancing, ladies were enouraged to "kick off their heels" with buckets of flip flop favors set next to the dance floor (while gentlemen were treated to Cigar favors).

The wedding cake echoed the pink and chocolate color scheme with chocolate fudge icing and delicate pink orchids climbing the side.  The groom's cake was a nod to the groom's college football team in Alabama, and during the cutting the guests chanted their fight song.  Then the bride changed into a short white and navy polka-dot dress and surprised guests with a choreographed Swing Dance number with the groom and groomsmen... so much fun!!  As if it couldn't get any better, the couple was sent off through a path lit by sparklers as they climbed into a convertible sports car to prepare for their impending honeymoon.  What a gorgeous and special day for a gorgeous and special couple!  Love you guys - Thanks for the amazing memories!!
