I was so lucky to be a part of Emily and Graydon's wedding last month and am so excited to finally share some of their beautiful wedding details.  Forgive me, my camera battery died and I had to take these pictures using my phone, but I think the style and colors still come alive through the pictures...

Emily and Graydon chose to have their wedding at the St. Peter Episcopal Church in Plant City, followed by a reception at the Palmetto Club in Fishhawk Ranch.  Both of their families reside nearby and they were literally coming home from school to exchange marriage vows;  I ended up meeting and planning most often with Emily's mom Mary (such a pleasure to work with!)   Emily and Mary will both tell you that having a wedding planner on the day of the event is such a blessing - it allowed them both to be able to enjoy the event without running around keeping track of the details, the timeline, and any little speedbumps that arose (and there were a few that came about, but we adapted of course, and perhaps on their 1 year anniversary I will tell them about the little mishaps we resolved) LOL :)

Emily chose a color palette near and dear to my heart  - PINK and ORANGE (the colors for my wedding 3 years ago now)!  As a lover of vibrant and saturated color, I suggested fiery orange pinktuck linens for the guest tables and fuchsia bengaline linens for the hightops.  Alternating high and low centerpieces added visual interest and whimsy to the ballroom, with colorful florals like roses, carnations, tiger lilies, snapdragons, gerbera daisies, Peruvian lilies, and leafy green foliage.

Flickering votive candles created ambient lighting for the ballroom, which featured food stations of heavy hors d'oeuvres which were perfect for the cocktail-style reception.  Guests enjoyed shrimp and grits, customized pasta, carved meats, smoked salmon and gourmet cheeses, and more (courtesy of Catering by the Family).  The wedding cake consisted of buttercream tiers embellished with sugar lace appliques and a colorful ribbon secured with a sparkly brooch.  The groomscake (which was a surprise to the groom, a student at the University of Florida) was a gator wearing a Tim Tebow jersey (nearly 5' long and made of cake and crisp rice treats to be completely edible!)  It was a huge hit!

Guests danced to the jams performed live by the Breezin Band, and when they needed a little pick me up, they got their sugar high from the candy bar display.  A 10' table showcased pink and orange candies for guests to take as favors.  As the night drew to a close, the guests lined up outside the Palmetto Club to send off the bride and groom in style - under a blazing arch of sparklers!

Congratulations again Emily and Graydon!  Thank you for letting me be a part of your special day.  Best of luck to both of you at UF and GO GATORS!! :)
